One of the largest and best known vet clinics in Warsaw, the Bemowo Veterinary Clinic, is the most recent addition to the LuxVet Group, a leading veterinary healthcare group in Poland.

Bemowo Veterinary Clinic, located at Powstancow Slaskich 101 in Warsaw, was founded over 30 years ago by Pawel Kowalczyk, DVM, a well-known expert in endoscopy, who continues to run the Clinic today.

The practice offers 24/7 veterinary care, and has five consultation and treatment rooms, two operating rooms, a laboratory, diagnostic imaging, and a small pet hospitalization area. It was founded as one of the first private vet practices in Warsaw and has since become a round-the-clock veterinary clinic, providing specialized and emergency care for pets.

The team is comprised of 65 people, including a clinical team of 40 veterinarians and 10 vet nurses, which allows the Bemowo Clinic to offer a broad range of specialized services, including general surgery, orthopedics, soft tissue surgery, emergency care, trauma treatment and endoscopy, as well as cardiology, oncology, neurology, ophthalmology and dentistry. Bemowo also works with academic lecturers and external specialists for diagnostic imaging, exotic animal care treatment, etc.

Based on the agreements signed with the LuxVet Group, Pawel Kowalczyk will continue to oversee the practice and will also become the Group’s Medical Director and play a key role in building the first referral pet hospital the Group is planning to open in Warsaw.

- “Joining the LuxVet Group is our chance to continue to grow, not only as Bemowo Vet Clinic, but as a team. I have been sharing my knowledge with young veterinary doctors for years. Now, with access to capital, ambitious projects, such as the referral hospital, and international cooperation, we will be able to shape the future of veterinary medicine in Poland.” - shares Dr. Pawel Kowalczyk, founder of Bemowo.
- “I am very happy to announce that Bemowo Veterinary Clinic is officially part of the LuxVet Group. We have ambitious plans for both the clinic and the team, headed by Pawel Kowalczyk, and their role in the development of our Group, in particular with regards to the referral hospital that we are planning to open in Warsaw.” - comments Piotr Zajaczkowski, LuxVet’s CEO.

The LuxVet Group will invest in renovating the Clinic, refurbishing the interior and adapting it to the needs of disabled customers to facilitate access for both patients and caregivers. The Group will also support the practice in the area of business administration and accounting, operations, purchasing, HR and recruitment, IT, and marketing. Centrum Zdrowia Małych Zwierząt (CZMZ)  in Gorzów Wielkopolski is another veterinary clinic that will grow with the support of the LuxVet Group. To begin with, the clinic will gain a new rehabilitation surgery. There are also plans to create an emergency ward.

Centrum Zdrowia Małych Zwierząt in Gorzów Wielkopolski (ul. Myśliborska 38) is a modern veterinary clinic specialising in surgery, orthopaedics and cardiology. Its founders: lek. wet. Paweł Stolarek and lek. wet. Artur Domaradzki focus on modern solutions, such as innovative methods of bone assembly and regenerative medicine procedures. The facility also provides services in infectious disease prevention, imaging and laboratory diagnostics, oncology, internal medicine and dentistry. It has modern equipment for X-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy and bronchoscopy, cryotherapy, magnetotherapy, blood analysis and microscopic diagnosis.

- Since the beginning of the existence of our clinic, we have focused on development. We invest in modern equipment, constantly improve the qualifications of our team, and cooperate with other veterinary entities. Joining the LuxVet Group is an opportunity to continue this development, both in terms of the facility and the services it provides, as well as the team working here, - said lek. wet. Artur Domaradzki, one of the founders of CZMZ.

In the first stage, a new rehabilitation office will be created in CZMZ, separated by the Group’s team of architects into the existing area of the clinic. The surgery will be provided with modern equipment, including a water treadmill, enabling, among others, treatment of orthopaedic and neurological conditions, rehabilitation after surgery, support in weight loss or improvement of the living comfort of senior dogs. All adaptation work and the purchase of equipment will be coordinated by LuxVet Group in collaboration with the facility’s team.

There are also plans to create the first emergency ward in Gorzów Wielkopolski, so that patients will receive help on site in emergencies and will no longer have to travel to neighbouring cities.

We agreed the scope of the integration and development work for CZMZ together with the LuxVet Group management. I am pleased, because they fully address our needs. After they are carried out, the level of services and competences available in our clinic will be even higher, and CZMZ has a chance to become a leading facility in the city and even the region. In addition, our employees will gain access to knowledge and new opportunities for development, - added lek. wet. Paweł Stolarek, co-founder of the CZMZ clinic.

As part of the integration into the Group, CZMZ employees will be covered by an internal programme of knowledge exchange (including with partners from the Spanish-Portuguese veterinary network UnaVets) and external training, as well as gaining additional benefits such as private medical care. The practice will also receive comprehensive accounting and administrative support, the opportunity to benefit from lower supplier prices through group purchasing, IT support and marketing advice. This will enable the team to focus on patient care and the further development of the medical offer, which the Group will support.

The processes of integrating the facility into the Group’s structures will be carried out at a pace commensurate with its dynamics.  Centrum Zdrowia Małych Zwierząt will retain its existing name and logo. LuxVet will also not interfere with the medical procedures used at the clinic.

PerfectVet in the LuxVet Group

18.08.2022

Lublin Veterinary Training Centre PerfectVet – a nationally renowned company offering specialist training for veterinary surgeons and technicians – has joined the LuxVet Group. The cooperation will result in further development of PerfectVet and even better access to knowledge for the staff of the Group’s facilities.

Lublin Veterinary Training Centre PerfectVet offers specialist training courses in veterinary medicine, aimed at the practical aspects of the veterinary profession, as well as workshops for veterinarians and veterinary technicians. With the cooperation with national and international authorities, training courses are characterised by a high level of content and are very popular among clients.

LuxVet Group will work closely with the founders of PerfectVet. Supervision of the training programme and the company’s day-to-day operations will continue to be exercised by prof. dr hab. Łukasz Adaszek in cooperation with dr n. wet. Marcin Garbal. LuxVet will support the development of the training programme offer and the recruitment of new experts for cooperation. In addition, PerfectVet’s offer will be expanded to include intimate, highly specialised workshops where participants will be able to take part in surgical procedures. There are also plans to implement solutions to automate the training enrolment process and post-sales customer service, as well as to create an online workshop module.

-Joining forces with LuxVet Group will allow us to respond even better to the challenges posed by the market. Polish veterinary surgeons are very ambitious, they want to constantly expand their knowledge at good training courses, but they also want to work in places where - thanks to, among other things, access to modern equipment - they will be able to use this knowledge. In this context, PerfectVet and the LuxVet Group complement each other perfectly. - says prof. dr hab. Łukasz Adaszek, one of the founders of PerfectVet.

LuxVet Group is a Polish platform integrating veterinary clinics and surgeries. The group supports their further development and helps expand their offers with new specialisations – by financing the purchase of equipment or adapting premises for new surgeries. These activities are accompanied by investment in vocational training for the staff of the attached facilities. Teams gain additional competencies and can develop in new areas of veterinary medicine – within their existing workplace.

- Investing in people, their professional development and improving their wellbeing is one of the fundamental tenets of our business. Without committed teams, we will not be able to innovate or raise standards in an individual practice, let alone the industry as a whole. With the best veterinary training company in the Group, I am confident that our offering in this respect will be unrivalled. We have many ideas on how to improve and expand it, but thanks to the work of Professor Łukasz Adaszek and Dr Marcin Garbal, we already have a lot to offer. Not only to our employees, but also to all veterinarians who want to deepen their knowledge. - says Piotr Zajączkowski, CEO of LuxVet Group.

As part of our activities:

  • We open our own veterinary facilities – including the largest animal hospitals in Poland. In the coming years, we will build 5 modern hospitals that will cooperate with the Group’s other facilities across the country.
  • We integrate existing veterinary entities – from one-person practices to specialised clinics. We integrate them into our platform, offering their owners capital support and modern solutions: organisational, technological, equipment and training.
  • We support their further development – with respect for past achievements. The facilities that join us retain their own brand and local identity. We do not interfere in medical decisions or impose procedures. We listen and exchange knowledge, relieving the owners of management and administrative activities to the extent that suits them.

Lublin VetHouse expands with LuxVet Group

11.08.2022

VetHouse Veterinary Clinic has joined the LuxVet Group and is embarking on a new, intensive phase of development. Extensive support and commitment from the new investor will soon result in a new medical offer for patients and further training for employees.  Among other things, the facility will gain new equipment for nephrology, neurology and ophthalmic examinations, as well as support in promoting additional initiatives carried out by the founders.

VetHouse Specjalistyczne Centrum Weterynaryjne (ul. Wróbla 66 lok. 2, Lublin) was founded by dr wet. Agata Jankowska and dr n. wet. Marcin Garbal. The facility provides specialist services in surgery, cardiology, haematology, nephrology, ophthalmology, neurology, oncology, radiology and dentistry. It has a fully equipped operating theatre and high-end imaging, ophthalmology and laboratory diagnostic equipment. Additional initiatives are also being developed at the clinic, such as the Veterinary Blood Bank for animals and genetic diagnostics for tick-borne diseases.

At VetHouse, we have always strived to ensure that our services meet and even exceed the needs of the local market. We focus on specialisation and modern solutions, streamlining our work and making it easier for customers to use our services. By joining the LuxVet Group, we gain the means and tools for further development on the scope of which we have a decisive influence, - says dr wet. Agata Jankowska, co-founder of VetHouse.

The LuxVet Group is funding the development of all clinics joining it, each time consulting the scope of these investments with the team working on site. In the case of VetHouse, the focus will be on further developing nephrology, neurology, ophthalmology and dermatology. The Group will invest in additional equipment and staff, both through training for the existing team and additional recruitment.

In addition, the facility will be relieved of the day-to-day administrative and accounting work and will gain support in purchasing, IT and marketing. The Group will also take care of its employees, offering them, among other things, private medical care and a training system designed to build individual career paths.

A special role will be played by dr n. wet. Marcin Garbal, who will become one of the regional leaders of the LuxVet Group.

My view of the future of veterinary medicine is consistent with the vision of the LuxVet Group's Management Board, which is why this cooperation will go far beyond VetHouse. We want to take an active part in the changes that are currently taking place in the market: in its integration, in improving standards and, above all, in building a network of reference facilities, thanks to which we will be able to help our patients even more effectively. - adds dr n. wet. Marcin Garbal, co-founder and manager of VetHouse.

Gdynia Veterinary Hospital in LuxVet Group

18.07.2022

The LuxVet Group has expanded by another facility. By virtue of the agreement signed, the Gdynia Veterinary Hospital of Dr Tomasz Brzeski, a veterinary surgeon, has joined it. In accordance with the Group’s operating philosophy, both the integration process and the further functioning of the clinic will take place in full cooperation with the existing owner and staff of GSWet. The Group will also invest in the development of the facility by launching, among other things, rehabilitation services and arranging reception space.

Gdynia Veterinary Hospital (ul. Kielecka 22, Gdynia) is a well-known facility throughout Pomerania, specialising in the diagnosis and implementation of complex orthopaedic procedures, cardiology, surgery, endoscopy, dermatology and biomedical therapies. GSWet has its own laboratory, modern diagnostic equipment (including a veterinary CT scanner), 2 operating theatres and a 24-hour supervised hospital. The team, led by veterinary surgeon Tomasz Brzeski, bases treatment on a holistic approach to patients, providing multidimensional outpatient and inpatient care.

We want to support our patients at every stage of their health journey - from prevention and diagnosis to recovery. That is why we are particularly keen to develop rehabilitation services to complement our offer and ensure that patients - especially orthopaedic patients - receive comprehensive assistance from us. With the support of LuxVet Group, such a development will be possible, - says Tomasz Brzeski, veterinarian, founder and manager of the Gdynia Veterinary Hospital, President of the Kashubian-Pomeranian Veterinary Chamber and member of the National Veterinary Medical Council.

LuxVet Group will invest in the creation of a rehabilitation clinic, which it will equip with, among other things, a water treadmill. As part of the Group’s in-house knowledge exchange programme, GSWet’s zoophysiotherapists will receive training at Warsaw’s Psychodni, which specialises in animal rehabilitation using this type of equipment.

Upcoming plans also include refreshing the interior of the facility, creating a new reception area and upgrading the IT infrastructure. GSWet will gain support in administration, accounting, purchasing, IT support and marketing, while employees will be covered by private medical care and a training system. LuxVet will not interfere with medical procedures.

Dr Tomasz Brzeski has contributed to Polish veterinary medicine for more than 30 years and is an unquestioned authority and leader in the region. We have great respect for his achievements, as well as those of the entire team at the Gdynia Veterinary Hospital. We are also united by the desire to develop and promote the industry, so I am all the more pleased that GSWet is becoming part of our Group, - says Marcin Halicki, President of LuxVet Group.

Vivovet from Wrocław has joined the LuxVet Group

21.06.2022

The agreement between the entities was signed in May. Work is currently underway to integrate the clinic into the Group’s structures, with a particular focus on communication with the existing Vivovet team. Upcoming plans also include the creation of a modern reception area, hiring a person responsible for administration, and building a website. The pace of the implementation work is adapted to the dynamics of the facility.

Vivovet veterinary clinic is located at ul. Św. Rity 38 in Wrocław-Iwiny. It provides a wide range of services in the treatment, prevention and care of small animals. Modern diagnostic equipment, its own laboratory and, above all, a team of specialists have made Vivovet a nationally renowned centre for the diagnosis of difficult veterinary cases.

Vivovet is a relatively new practice on the Wrocław market. We hope that our presence in the LuxVet Group will help us spread our wings - also thanks to the administrative and marketing support that the Group offers. We have been involved in all integration processes from the beginning and I am pleased that they are taking place in an atmosphere of dialogue and at a pace that suits our needs and operational capabilities, - says veterinarian Szymon Rusin, founder of Vivovet.

The first visible effect of joining the LuxVet Group will be improved customer service. A modern reception desk will be created in the registration space. The Vivovet team will expand by the addition of an administrative employee, who will relieve the doctors of routine tasks of dealing with customers, orders or the circulation of documents. LuxVet will also take care of marketing (eg by creating a website or supporting social media activities), completely take over accounting and administrative tasks, and provide comprehensive support in the area of IT, purchasing or current operational topics. However, employees will be a priority.

We, as well as the existing owner, are very keen to ensure that the Vivovet team is as comfortable as possible - both in the transition phase and in the subsequent operation. We make sure that the employees have a clear vision from the start of what will happen in connection with our integration, and how these changes will affect them. And they will be positively affected. Relief in administrative matters is one thing, but we will also take care of training, offer career paths and provide additional employee benefits, such as private medical care, for example, - says Marcin Halicki, CEO of LuxVet Group.

Like all outpatient clinics joining the Luxvet Group, Vivovet will retain its existing name and logo. The Group will also not interfere with the medical procedures used at the clinic.

Psychodnia will double in size – thanks to Luxvet Group

26.05.2022

Psychodnia officially joined the LuxVet Group in March this year. The integration of the facility has just entered its final phase. Its expansion is just beginning. All activities are taking place in close cooperation with the previous owner and current manager of Psychodnia, veterinarian Marta Labuda.

Located in Warsaw’s Bielany district, Psychodnia is a modern centre for the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of animals. From its inception, its founder has focused on pioneering solutions in veterinary medicine. Psychodnia was the first in Warsaw and the third in Poland to use a water treadmill for animal rehabilitation, and has recently been developing minimally invasive surgery, including laparoscopy, arthroscopy and thoracoscopy procedures.

I keep a close eye on those innovations and trends in the veterinary market that can help in the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of our patients and in the management of the clinic. The consolidation processes that have already taken place in Western markets make it possible to see the benefits of these for clinics and patients, and for raising and standardising the quality of services. Clinic owners and doctors receive professional support in the ongoing administration and management of the clinics. I believe that cooperation with LuxVet Group, which focuses on maintaining the character of strong local brands, will accelerate the realisation of my vision for the development of Psychodni, - Marta Labuda says.

Thanks to the ongoing expansion, the area of Psychodni will double in size. Additional surgeries will be created, making it possible to expand the medical offer and serve more patients in a comfortable environment.

In addition, the new part will create a larger and bright reception area, separate waiting areas for dogs and cats, office and social areas and a new shop space. The project was created in collaboration between Marta Labuda and LuxVet Group’s team of architects, and the investment process is being led by Luxvet Group’s Investment Department. The aim is to give a new quality by modernising the interiors and increasing their functionality while retaining the existing character of Psychodni.

The LuxVet Group has also invested in medical equipment, retrofitting the Psychodnia with, among other things, a high-energy laser, a minimally invasive surgery toolkit, a dental unit, a dental indirect radiography kit; and has also equipped a new, larger animal hospital.

The expansion is scheduled for completion in July. In parallel to the design and construction work, the LuxVet Group team is carrying out work in the area of modernising the IT infrastructure, refreshing the website (including the addition of an online appointment booking panel) and integrating the management and purchasing processes, which is expected to significantly ease the administrative burden on the clinic. This will allow the Psychodni team to focus on further development and helping patients.

Psychodnia is the first facility where we can show how our business model works in practice. Many thanks to Dr Marta Labuda and the Psychodnia team for their trust and commitment to working together. Integration is already in the final straight and we will soon be able to see the effects of our joint work, - says Marcin Halicki, CEO of LuxVet Group.

In parallel, the LuxVet Group is finalising agreements for the consolidation of further veterinary facilities, as well as the to start building its own clinic and veterinary clinic.
