Vetzone Spital Veterinar, a 24-hour clinic of the LuxVet Group in Constanta, is LuxVet’s first investment of that magnitude in Romania. The expansion and renovation of floor space and acquisition of a CT scanner sit right at the heart of LuxVet’s long-term strategy for elevating the standards of veterinary care in the region by investing in specialized, high-quality facilities.

The investment was planned to meet the long-term need of Vetzone for a broader scope of diagnostic services and highest-quality medical care that can be provided to patients locally. The project involved not only the purchase of a CT scanner but also a considerable expansion of floor space and overhaul of the clinic. Those efforts have effectively eliminated the need for owners to transport their animals to other cities. The new, state-of-the-art scanner allows veterinary doctors to perform scans faster and get more precise diagnoses.
CT scanning enables precise assessment of the musculoskeletal system, chest, abdominal cavity and nervous system, which allows for quick and accurate diagnosis of injuries, internal diseases and tumors, and planning of surgical procedures.
Vetzone also has a modern operating room, a post-op oxygen chamber, an incubator, an imaging diagnostic room (X-ray and ultrasound) and a laboratory where most tests can be performed on-site. Being part of LuxVet gives the clinic access to training and know-how exchange for the team. Vetzone is the perfect example of LuxVet’s long-term strategy of advancing veterinary medicine in Romania by investing in local clinics and supporting the dreams of top authority figures in the veterinary sector.
LuxVet is the leading veterinary platform in Central and Eastern Europe, bringing together around 70 clinics across the region. Since 2022, the Group has been actively consolidating the fragmented veterinary market and, thanks to rapid growth and a focused M&A strategy, has become the largest veterinary platform in the region. Its expansion into new markets reflects the growing demand for high-quality veterinary services and supports the vision of building an international network of clinics and hospitals.
The company follows a partnership-based integration strategy, supporting clinics rather than imposing top-down structures. It invests heavily in teams, advanced equipment, and professional training. Nearly 1,000 veterinary professionals have already benefited from in-person and online learning, ensuring continuous development and knowledge exchange across the network.
The Group also operates Veterio in Warsaw, Poland, the first referral hospital of its kind in this part of Europe, equipped with cutting-edge diagnostic and imaging technology. It employs several board-certified specialists and expects to have around ten diplomates in the near future, further strengthening its expertise and ability to deliver world-class veterinary care.
With a clear focus on excellence, innovation, and education, LuxVet is helping shape the future of veterinary medicine in Central and Eastern Europe.
